The Aftermath Passage: Contemporary Portraits of Resilience & Story

The Aftermath Passage is an ongoing contemporary portrait series dedicated to the real-life stories of people shaped by migration, war, and conflict. Moving beyond literal representation, this project uses a profound language of symbolic color to give form to each subject's unique narrative.

In this series, every hue is a word: red speaks to passion or danger; blue to trust or calm; yellow to optimism or caution; green to growth or nature; and white to purity or mourning. The specific palette for each portrait is drawn directly from the individual's experiences, creating a bridge between their inner world and the viewer's understanding.

Through this method, The Aftermath Passage becomes a collective visual archive of resilience, memory, and human spirit in the face of profound change.
